Why Figaro?

Posted by Daphne on 6:52 PM in
If there's anything that I'm craving now, it's Figaro's 5-cheese pizza. It's that good! Visuals later.

Exactly a week ago, me and my college friends met up for dinner (yep not for coffee) at Figaro Emerald.  It was raining and traffic was bad and as expected, we were all starving by the time we got there.

My kind of frost: White Chocolate Macadamia (middle)

First on our list: Figaro frost. I only go for one drink when in Figaro, and that's my ultimate favorite White Chocolate Macadamia and I can attest that no other coffee shop can beat this.  I can probably finish a liter of this without exaggeration.

I'm not sure if most of you are aware that Figaro doesn't only offer good quality drinks, they also provide wide variety of delicious treats -- pastry, pasta, pizza, all-day breakfast menu, spoon (rice) meals, name it, they got it.

Chicken a la Kiev (with pesto as my choice of pasta)

Pasta a la Carlo
Carbonara

Five-cheese Pizza Ciabatta (it's the best-est!)

Figaro Club Sandwich

Too bad I failed to take photos of what we had for dessert: My Little Oscar, their Sansrival inspired pastry and Pudding with Vanilla Sauce, which is another favorite of mine.

Disaster :D

I'm excited to go back to Figaro and avail of their all day breakfast meal.  Now that's definitely something to look forward to.  And this is why Figaro isn't just like any other coffee shops in town. :)

Love Thy Neighborhood: BRGR: The Burger Project

The Burger Project

I think it's funny to say that it was only my first time to try out The Burger Project considering that 1) it has been established perhaps for more than a year 2) I live in the same neighborhood.  There are actually 2 other burger joints nearby which I  frequently visit.  However, The Burger Project is not your typical burger joint.  And you know why?

Not your usual menu card
Because you get to design your burger based on your preference. Upon arrival, the staff will hand you this piece of paper with the list choices from the patties down to the sauces. Suits me perfectly since I don't like too much stuff in my burger.  Your wish is their command!

It's self-service, so once your done filling up your order form, you go straight to the cashier to pay and place your order.

My burger project #1
What's inside burger project #1: 100% Beef patty, Mozzarella cheese, Bacon strips and Lettuce on a Sesame bun.

Burger Project #2

What's inside burger project #2: Chicken patty, cheddar cheese, tomato and Sesame bun.  I had a bite of my friend's burger and I'll have to say that I liked the chicken patty more than the beef patty.  The beef patty is a little blunt for my taste buds.

French Fries
We also tried their french fries.  There's just too much chili powder on it and that's coming from someone who isn't a fan of spicy flavor. Very reasonable price though at P60.  They really are generous with their servings as it can be shared by 2-3 people.

Budget-wise, I would recommend P250/person (max) when you visit.  It's worth your money, after all, you get to customize your burger according to your satisfaction.
